No-Waistband Overalls for Easier Dressing and All-Day Comfort
Share
Swoveralls are sweatpant overalls with no waistband. They hang from adjustable straps, use soft stretchy fabric, and fit loosely. Customers who use wheelchairs, are recovering from surgery, or have days when a waistband simply hurts tell us those details are why they wear them. This guide explains which features they point to and what to check before buying. It is not medical advice; follow your care team's guidance on what to wear.
Who this is for
- People who find waistbands uncomfortable or painful to wear for long stretches.
- People recovering from surgery who want clothing that's easy to put on.
- Wheelchair users who sit for long periods and want a soft, loose fit with secure pockets.
- Anyone who wants to get dressed with less bending and tugging.
The features that matter
No waistband
Swoveralls are held up by adjustable straps, so nothing sits on or presses into your waist. This is the feature customers mention most often in these situations.
Easier on and off
You step in and pull the overalls up by the straps, rather than working a waistband over your hips. One verified buyer described them as "easy to get into and out of, soft and comfortable." Another, recovering at home, said "the straps make it easy to get on and off."
Soft fabric for long days
The fabric is soft sweatpant fabric with stretch. Most Swoveralls are made with 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton and 5% spandex; some styles use other blends, listed on each product page. Customers describe them as "comfortable enough to sleep in" and as something "light and comfy to wear" on hard days.
Pockets that stay put
There are six pockets, including a hidden zip pocket on the inside of the bib. A wheelchair user wrote: "I love being able to hide my ID/cards inside the inner pocket."
Minimal labels
Swoveralls have one tag, located on the right hip/side area.

Things to know before you buy
- Fit varies by body. The unisex cut is loose. Some customers found the straps too long in a larger size and exchanged down; others found their size a little snug and sized up. Check the fit guide first.
- Go easy on the strap hardware. One customer who hangs a heavy item from their overalls said their "main worry would be the straps' rivets over time may rip out." If you plan to carry weight on the straps, keep that in mind.
- Fabric differs by style. Corduroy, fleece, and waffle styles feel different from the core sweatpant fabric.
- Exchanges are free. Size and color exchanges are free, one exchange request per item per order, and most products can be returned within 365 days. Sale and Mystery items are final sale. See our FAQ page.
FAQ
Are overalls easier to put on than pants?
For many of our customers, yes. With no waistband to pull over the hips, you step in and lift the straps onto your shoulders. Customers recovering at home have said the straps made dressing easier.
Can you wear Swoveralls in a wheelchair?
Wheelchair users who have reviewed Swoveralls say they're easy to wear seated and like the inside pocket for cards. Fit is personal, so check the fit guide, and remember size exchanges are free.
Are Swoveralls OK to wear after surgery?
Customers have told us they wore Swoveralls during recovery because there's no waistband. Your surgeon or care team should have the final say on what's right for you.
What sizes are available?
Adult sizes are unisex, XS to 4XL in core colors. Questions can go to hello@swoveralls.com.
